Last night the president, in his speech to the Nation, re-iterated, "... I swore to protect and defend the Constitution; that's what I swore to do. I put my hand on the Bible and took that oath, and that's exactly what I am going to do", yet, Bush has done the exact opposite of what he "swore" to do. At every turn, He tears one more piece of the constitution to bits and throws it in the face of our forefathers, in the face of troops that have died for our freedoms and in the face of troops that he deployed to the Middle East.
Our Freedoms are inherent to the Constitution and Bush would squelch them with the Patriot Act's Total Information Awareness System and other executive orders and legislation that restricts our basic freedoms, but the Senate approved an amendment Jan. 23 blocking use of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's TIA system unless Congress specifically authorizes it after the Bush administration submits a report about the program's effect on privacy. Senator Ron Wyden said in a statement. "The Senate has now said that this program will not be allowed to grow without tough congressional oversight and accountability, and that there will be checks on the government's ability to snoop on law-abiding Americans."
During Bush's continued onslaught on the Constitution he has apparently
usurped Congressional powers by allowing corporations to aggressively market
IT systems that will susposedly bring them into compliance with the Patriot
Act's Total Information Awareness requirements even after Congress clearly refused
to fund the government program. This has privatized the TIA and deploys a system
of snooping on American and Foriegn law abiding people unheard of in history.
During the Vietnam Era when the government proposed a National Data Center in
1965, public outcry let to the passage of the Privacy Act of 1974 which prohibits
federal agencies from routinely sharing personal information. Currently the
Privacy Act of 1974 is being strangled by Bush's uncontrolled and paranoid drive
to retain ablolute power.
Our research has turned up various private companies that say they have resolved a full service solution to put you in compliance with the Patriot Act even though they have not been authorized by Congressional authority. These companies imply that the US Treasury Department requires compliance, when in fact the TIA portion of the Patriot Act must have congressional approval. Yet companies promoting software technology like Innovative Systems that gather a plethora of information on customers are setting up systems with financial institutions, insurance companies, and state and federal agencies and matching all personal and household data with an unknown database. The ancillary activity could be the total result of that collection evolving into a world wide "data warehouse" under the guise of compliance with the U.S.A. PATRIOT Act and other new legislation. Lets not even mention the real time monitoring....of all customers.
Privatizing the collection of personal data, monitoring real time transactions and comparing those with i/Lytics SECURE and other companies like them, enables public and private organizations to compare client records against lists published by the U.S. and international government agencies, allowing Bush to bypass congressional oversight.
Companies in the private sector like Charles Schwab, L.L. Bean, Wachovia, National Association of Home Builders, Bancomer (largest Bank in Mexico) and Lutheran Brotherhood are some that have already implemented this data monitoring* and data linking** technology. They now have total freedom to match any kind of personal data, which in turn is matched to US and foreign government databases. Who determines who is on those government databases? Autocrats, like G.W. Bush, John Ashcroft and Tom Ridge. The self proclaimed saviors of America and the World.
Bush has hijacked America. He has broken his promise to protect and defend the constitution of the US. He has become the biggest threat to our freedom and liberty.
How much more of our constitution will we allow Bush to destroy?
